A New Chapter Supporters’ Reception

A Night of Gratitude, Community, and Possibility

On July 27, the Fayetteville Free Library was filled with conversation, excitement, and a shared sense of possibility as we welcomed supporters and friends to our A New Chapter Supporters’ Reception.

The evening was an opportunity to thank our dedicated donors, volunteers, and partners, celebrate the incredible progress we’ve made, and give our community a glimpse of what’s ahead.

Guests gathered to learn more about the transformation of our Youth Wing and the vision behind A New Chapter.

Celebrating Our Partners

We were especially pleased to welcome Senator Chris Ryan and Congressman John Mannion to the reception.

Their support has been an important part of making A New Chapter possible, and we were proud to recognize both Congressman Mannion and Senator Ryan for their roles in helping us secure New York State CREST funding for the project.

The renovation is also made possible through the generosity of longtime Library supporter Dan Kirkley, whose bequest, combined with New York State Construction and CREST funding, has provided the foundation for this exciting transformation.

But We’re Not Done Yet!

While the renovation is underway, there is still plenty of work to do to turn these beautiful new spaces into the welcoming, functional environments our community deserves.

That’s where A New Chapter supporters come in.

Our campaign is raising funds to furnish the new Youth Wing and help bring the next phases of the project—including the Teen Space, expanded Makerspace, and quiet study spaces—to life.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already stepped forward as a New Chapter Champion. Every gift represents an investment in the future of our Library and the people we serve.

Writing the Next Chapter—Together

One of the things we love most about the Fayetteville Free Library is that it has never been just about a building. It’s about the people inside it.

It’s the child discovering their favorite book. The family attending their first storytime. The teen finding a place to hang out with friends. The maker learning a new skill. The student finding a quiet place to focus. The community member discovering a new interest.

A New Chapter is about creating even more opportunities for those moments to happen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on July 27 and to everyone who has supported this project along the way. We’re excited about where this next chapter is taking us—and we’re even more excited to write it with you.

The future of FFL is taking shape, and there’s so much more to come!
